Privacy and data protection
Any personal information provided by users of BAFA’s digital services is collected, processed and used by BAFA for the intended purpose only, and will be held securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Any visit to BAFA’s websites is stored and processed in log files where the following data are saved:
- IP address of the accessing computer
- Name of the data file retrieved
- Date and time of access
- Data volume transferred
- Notification of successful retrieval
Log files allow us to record the visitors’ use of the sites. The anonymised data are analysed solely for statistical purposes, they are used for improvements and for optimising our internet services. The data will not be disclosed to third persons and are, therefore, not available for any other usage.
BAFA’s websites do not use cookies.
BAFA offers the possibility to order publications, subscribe to newsletters, to submit licence applications or email enquiries. In this case, you are asked for your name and other personal data necessary to deal with your application/enquiry. You are free to decide whether or not to provide this information. Your personal data are exclusively stored and used for your enquiry /application. When ordering publications, your data may be disclosed to companies commissioned to distribute the information material.
You may also sign up to receive BAFA’s newsletter. In this case, you are asked for your email address. We will hold the information you have provided as long as you subscribe to the Newsletter, which will also contain information on how you can sign off. Your email address will be deleted from our records when you unsubscribe from the newsletter or when BAFA decides to terminate this service.
